Laser Hair Removal -Professional services

 Prices below are average but may be less depending on  area treated. Prices are per treatment.  Packages are not sold however the 5th treatment is no charge to you.  Average amount of treatments take 6 to 7. Minimum treatments recommended for optimum results are 3 treatments.

Steps for becoming a Certified Medical Electrologist able to use Laser or IPL for Hair Removal in the State of Florida

1.      Complete an Electrology course approved by the State of Florida for 320 hours. All 320 hours must be done in school. (No home Study hours are  allowed to be counted toward the 320)

2.      Fill out application and send with required documentation and a $340.00 check to Department of Health  in Tallahassee, Florida.

3.      You must wait for temporary license (usually 2 to 3 weeks) before proceeding with any laser requirements.

4.      Once you receive your temporary license, you may now proceed with laser requirements.  Go to http://www.scmhr.org website , click on the link to the right that says clinicians. 

5.      Click on certifications on the left side menu.  Click on “Certified Clinical Electrologist.   Follow directions for certification.  Print out application and directions.  You will want to join as the membership makes the test and required CEU’s to keep certification, much more affordable. 

6.      Print out the list for Junior Colleges closest to you that offer to have test proctored in.  Call and make an appointment to take test. 

7.      Fill out CCE application and membership application.  Enter information about test on application.

8.      You may pay the membership fee and test fee together and fax payment to number on bottom of the CCE test application.   Make sure to fax the membership form as well and note on the application that you sent payment to the address or number on the  tests application.  Make a note on the CCE test application that you faxed in the membership form.

9.      Study for CCE test which is all about Electrolysis.  (No laser.)

10.    After you take the CCE you may now proceed to take the Laser course while you are waiting on results.

11.  You will receive a certificate of completion after completing the laser course.

12.  After you receive your results from the CCE (Certified Clinical Electrologist) you may apply for the CME  (Certified Medical Electrologist)

13.  The CME test is given in Orlando, Florida.  You will be scheduled and told when and where the test is given.  This test is on Laser Hair removal.
